Have you heard about the ‘Eye of Sahara’ , do you think this could possibly be Atlantis? Dubbed “the Eye of Sahara,” the structure has a diameter of about 40 kilometers (25 miles). This astronaut photo from 2011 provides a more detailed view of it. The origin of the Richat Structure was initially thought to be the result of an impact event because large meteors typically produce circular features on Earth’s surface. But geologic studies of the Eye of Sahara reveal it is actually an uplifted geologic dome, also known as a domed anticline.
